Burning/Bonfires  NEW ADVICE

             NEW COUNCIL ADVICE REGARDING BONFIRES (25 Oct 2021)

DO NOT SET BONFIRES
 

Although the new Tenant’s Agreement allows these between 1st October and the end of March, this has raised a discrepancy with regard to the rules being followed by the Environmental Dept. who will investigate any complaint made by a member of the public about a bonfire and prosecute or seek eviction of the plot-holder responsible.

 

To avoid the risk of eviction or prosecution, the Council now advises that we do not have bonfires.

However, please ensure that you include your name and plot number (and sign your letter if writing) so that the Secretary or the Committee is able to act on your corespondence.
